Inspiration & History

Recorded on 7/12/99. This is a song that I really liked for many years, but I never really like the way Cyndi Lauper's voice was on it. Don't get me wrong I think Cyndi Lauper is great, but there was sjust something I didn't like. I always thought it would be cool if there was a version that sounded just like the original but with better vocals (in my opinion) for me to listen to. When I finally got my 4 track situation under control, I realized that between that and Dawn, I had carved this opportunity for myself.

So I was in a mission to match instrument sounds in a way that they sounded just like the original, but different enough that you can tell I didn't use the original tracks. So you could still tell it was me. Overall, I think it came out great except for the one note that I missed on the first guitar break. D'OH!

This song is performed as a cover. I no way claim ownership rights or writing credits to it. (Just in case you thought I was trying to pass it off as my own)
