And how will you know when you've "made it"?

Nirvana was pretty on point when they said that they realized they "made it" when Weird Al parodied them.
For me, "making it" is probably much different than what many are striving for in my field. My goal has always been to be able to make a living making music. If I can be financially secure, and maintain that by making music, then I'll be happy. I don't need to be rich, or famous. Appreciated would be nice. As well as respected. And not starving/living in my car. Anything beyond that is just bonus to me, and of course I'd love it if I could "have it all", but don't require it.
There are some "landmarks" I'd like to achieve. Notably, an "officially" released CD would be cool. A U.S. and/or a world tour. To play in front of a "large" crowd, like 10,000 or more. To have a song on the radio. To have a video. And maybe to have someone I consider an idol/inspiration/star to acknowledge me. Those things don't equate "making it" to me, but would definitely aid in getting closer to it. I'm also not certain I'll know if I've "made it" if I do.
